NUMBER OF PAID EMPLOYEE SKYROCKETS

The total number of paid employees in the manufacturing, construction, and trade-services sectors surged by 8.8% in November 2021, compared to the same month of 2020, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The number of paid employees increased from 12.7 million to 13.8 million in this period. Zooming in on sub-sectors, the number of paid employees in the manufacturing industry rose by 7.4% annually while those in the construction and trade-services sectors increased by 8.7% and 9.8%, respectively. The total number of paid employees in the manufacturing, construction, and trade-services sectors surged by 0.8% on a monthly basis.
