DHL EXPRESS TURKEY KICKS OFF ISTANBUL̞-BAHRAIN FLIGHTS

-

The Germany-based logistics and cargo company DHL’s Turkey operation DHL Express Turkey has started flights between Istanbul and Bahrain to raise its air cargo capacity, according to a statement from the company. DHL Express Turkey will thus shorten the transit time to the Middle East, Far East, and Sub-Saharan Africa and increase its capacity by 4.5 tons. The aircraft which will perform flights six times a week will transport import and export deliveries. “Istanbul-Bahrain flights will make a positive contribution to our services in the Middle East and strengthen the link between Turkey and China, where billions of dollars in international trade are carried out every year,” said Mustafa Tonguc, CEO of DHL Express Turkey. The total flight process will be completed in three phases. “Our transit time will be shortened by at least one day as a result of these flights between Istanbul and Bahrain,” said Volkan Demiroglu, Vice President of Operations of DHL Express Turkey.
