POLISH PAYTEN ACQUIRES SOFTWARE COMPANY SMARTTEK

The Poland-based software company Asseco Group’s payment infrastructure subsidiary Payten has acquired Smarttek Yazilim Teknolojileri AS, which develops software for closed-loop smart card payment systems. Thus, the company, which already owns the Nestpay, Merchant Safe Unipay, Paratika, and Mobven brands, has added Smarttek to its portfolio. “We’ve extended our portfolio in Android POS payment, mobile wallet, and mobile payment systems,” said Burak Kutlu, Turkey Country Manager of Payten and CEO of Paratika. Smarttek has developed software focused on mobile wallets, mobile payment systems, and Android POS payment systems since 2013. The company has also specialized in highway payment and toll collection, tracing systems, and access control systems.
