DIOKI LAYS THE FOUNDATION FOR ITS USD 40M PLANT
The petrochemical company Dioki has laid the foundation for its USD 40m manufacturing plant. The factory will manufacture general-purpose crystal polystyrene (GPPS) which is used in foam packaging as well as refrigerator and food packaging, according to A. Sefa Kucukboyaci, CEO of Dioki Petrokimya. “We’ve decided to make this investment due to high demand,” said Kucukboyaci. The production plant will manufacture 70,000 tons of GPPS. The company will reach a production capacity of 150,000 tons of GPPS and expanded polystyrene (EPS) in total after the new production plant becomes operational. The new facility will enter into service at the end of 2022. The company currently has two facilities manufacturing EPS and GPPS.
