SERVICES PRODUCER PRICES SOAR IN JANUARY

The Services Producer Price Index (S-PPI) increased by 13.09% in January month over month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). S-PPI jumped 71.63% in January compared to the same month last year and rose by 36.94% on a 12-month rolling average. The price index climbed by 90.32% in transportation and storage services, 54.66% in accommodation and food services, 31.17% in information and communication services, 191.90% in real estate services, 36.92% in professional, scientific and technical services, and 54.07% in administrative and support services in January year over year. The S -PPI rose by 12.13% in transportation and storage services, 10.71% in accommodation and food services, 9.95% in information and communication services, 15.84% in real estate services, 14.92% in professional, scientific and technical services and 19.36% in administrative and support services in January monthly.
