Republican People’s Party (CHP) Central Executive Committee will gather under the presidency of Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

THURSDAY

The Constitutional Court will conduct its first examination of the CHP’s application for the annulment of article 4 of the election law and the suspension of its enforcement. The court will evaluate whether the application conditions are met in its first examination.

ECONOMIC OMNIBUS BILL ON PARLIAMENT’S AGENDA

The proposals for the Banking Law, which includes regulations related to the economy, the Sports Law and the the amendments to other laws will be on the parliament’s agenda this week. The omnibus bill includes extension of the tax advantages offered to companies in the case they convert their foreign currency deposit accounts into FX-protected deposits. Commercial deposit accounts are also covered by insurance with the omnibus bill.

DEMOCRAT PARTY LEADER TO VISIT THE OPPOSITION PARTIES BEFORE THEIR THIRD GATHERING

Democrat Party Chairman Gultekin Uysal is expected to pay a visit to opposition party leaders to discuss the third gathering of the six opposition parties planned for April 24. The political agenda will be dominated by a possible “third alliance” statement by Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoglu.
