INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION SOARS BY 4.4% IN FEBRUARY

The Industrial Production Index increased by 4.4% in February, compared to the previous month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The mining and quarrying index dropped by 3.0%, while the manufacturing index rose by 5.1%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index increased by 0.1% month-over-month in February. The Industrial Production Index also surged by 13.3% in February, compared to the same month last year. The mining and quarrying index climbed by 6.1%, while the manufacturing index rose by 14.4%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index increased by 4.9% in February, year-over-year.
