AGRICULTURE-PPI JUMPS 84.11% IN MARCH

The Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products (Agriculture-PPI) jumped 84.11% in March, compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). Agriculture-PPI surged by 12.02% in March, compared to the previous month, and by 46.31%, compared to December 2021. On a 12-month moving average, the hike was 36.59%. Agricultural products, hunting products, and related services surged by 11.50%, forestry products and related services increased by 17.49% and fishing products rose by 25.66% in March, month-over-month. Meanwhile, the highest annual surge was observed in the fiber plants subgroup at 208.09% while the highest monthly increase was seen in the citrus fruits subgroup at 18.17%.
