VAMED GROUP TO RELOCATE CIS HEADQUARTERS TO ISTANBUL
The Austria-based healthcare company Vamed Group, 32.3% of which is owned by the Austrian government, will relocate its CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), Russia, and Near East headquarters from Moscow to Istanbul because of the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war, according to Oguzhan Sural, CIS, Russia, and Near East CEO of Vamed Group. “This is an important development for Turkish healthcare suppliers,” said Sural. Vamed Group, which makes hospital investments around the world, specializes in building hospitals in collaboration with the governments, managing all aspects of the process, from construction to management. Vamed Group previously made purchases in Ukraine when the headquarters for the region was in Russia. “Production in the healthcare sector is topquality in Turkey. Now, all acquisitions will happen in Turkey. Needs, such as medical devices, beds, textiles, and consumables, will be purchased from Turkey,” Sural added.
