GLOBAL PORTS HOLDING ACQUIRES PORT OF CROTONE
Global Yatirim Holding ’s port operation subsidiary Global Ports Holding (GPH) has added the Port of Crotone, Italy, to its portfolio. This is the company’s fifth port acquisition in Italy following the Ports of Venice, Cagliari, Catania, and Taranto. GPH, which will operate the cruise operations in the Port of Crotone for four years, will use its own global experience and business model for its management. As part of the concession agreement, GPH will also make system, equipment, and technology investments to increase the port’s operational performance and improve its environmental protection and safety. “The cruise sector is almost back to normal and bookings are gradually increasing. The majority of cruise companies plan to return their fleets to the sea in the summer of 2022. This will further raise the importance of the Mediterranean to cruise tourism,” said Mehmet Kutman, Chairman of the
Board of Directors of Global Yatirim Holding and GPH.
