SAAT&SAAT EYES THE SMARTWATCH MARKET

Saat&Saat, which is the Turkish distributo­r for many global watch brands, from Guess to Armani, is planning to enter the smartwatch market. The firm, which sells smartwatch­es by brands such as Samsung and Huawei, is in talks with Apple. “We are also in talks with manufactur­ing plants in Taiwan and Korea. They produce for the most important global brands. Our brand will enter the smartwatch market by minimizing our profit,” said Ramazan Kaya, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saat&Saat. The company grew by 120% in the first quarter of 2022 (Q1), compared to Q1 2021. “We aim to increase our turnover to over 100% and achieve growth of 10-15% on a unit basis by maintainin­g this performanc­e for the rest of the year,” said Kaya. The company, which launched its first foreign store in Macedonia, aims to open another store abroad this year.
