ISRAELI HISHTIL TAKES OVER PARTNERSHI­P SHARES

The Israel-based nursery and seedling production firm Hishtil Group, which has operated with a 50-50 business partnershi­p with Tekfen Holding in Turkey since 1999 under the “Hishtil-Toros Fidecilik” (HTF) brand, has acquired Tekfen Holding’s shares. Thus, Hishtil Group, which has become the sole owner of HTF, will operate under the name of Hishtil Fidecilik Sanayi ve Ticaret in the country. Hishtil Group, which nearly employs 400 people in Turkey, operates a facility with an area of 120,000 square meters, including a closed production area of 50,000 square meters, in Antalya, and a facility with an area of 80,000 square meters, including a closed production area of 30,000 square meters, in Adana. The company, which has an annual total seedling production of 150 million in Turkey, will raise its capacity by 30% with the acquisitio­n by 2027. It also plans to develop its operations further in the country and increase Turkey’s fruit and vegetable seedling exports.
