Turkish Airlines’ New Destination: Siirt
Flying to more countries than any other airline in the world, Turkish Airlines increased the number of its domestic destinations to 50 by adding Siirt to its flight network.
Following the completion of operations at Siirt Airport after nearly two years, Turkish Airlines began to operate its IstanbulSiirt flights on March 6.
Turkish Airlines Deputy Chairman and CEO Bilal Ekşi made a speech at the opening ceremony and said, “We strive to make air travel a means of transportation for our people. With the flights we will operate here, we’ll connect Siirt to Istanbul and 310 destinations in 124 countries. Turkish Airlines writes its success story here, and we’re excited for each step we take for this land.”
One of the first Turkish settlements in Turkey, Siirt stands out with its fertile lands, long-established history, and cultural heritage. The city’s natural and cultural highlights include Sağlarca Hot Springs, the Grand Mosque, and Botan Caves. Operated with the A319 aircraft in Turkish Airlines’ modern fleet, Siirt flights offer an exclusive flight experience for about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
