COUNTDOWN STARTED FOR THE YOUTH FESTIVAL OF ISTANBUL

For the third time, Istanbul is getting ready to host Turkey’s biggest youth festival, this year on May 2-5. To be held at the Eurasia Show and Art Center, the Istanbul Youth Festival (IGF 2019) will host arts, sports, technology, entertainm­ent, and e-sports events. Throughout the four-day festival expected to be attended by 1.5 million youngsters, participan­ts will have the chance to express themselves and put forth their creativity during an array of new and fun activities. The festival will bring together the digital entertainm­ent and gaming sector, while an e-sports center will be establishe­d. Popular PC and console games, profession­al e-sports teams and gamers, simulation experience­s, phenomenon YouTubers and streamers will come together with game lovers.

IGF 2019 will host robotic workshops for technology lovers; awarded basketball, football, and e-sports tournament­s for sports lovers; and inspiring talks by important figures who have written success stories in their fields. Throughout the festival there will be stage performanc­es held every day and surprise activities specifical­ly appealing to youth.

Digital light and color exhibition

A very special exhibition awaits the youth during the festival: Ziraat Bank Light and Color Digital Exhibition… With more than 2,500 pieces of art in its collection, Ziraat Bank is lending the rarest original pieces from its collection to the exhibition that will be held within the scope of IGF 2019. The youngsters visiting the exhibition will have the opportunit­y to experience both digital and traditiona­l artwork under the same roof. The exhibition will screen work of 5K resolution, allowing the audience to watch works of art on giant screens with an altogether different setup. The audience will get the chance to interactiv­ely examine the artwork on these giant screens by utilizing computers running on special software.
