DAYS OF DELICACIES IN IZMIR

Izmir is hosting two “delicious” festivals in April. The Alaçatı Herb Festival, organized yearly since 2010 with the aim of promoting the different kinds of herbs growing in the region alongside the various dishes prepared from them, and hosting visitors coming from all around Turkey and the world, will be held on April 5-7 this year.

Another festival hotly anticipated by delicacy lovers is the 5th Urla Artichoke Festival. Held in Urla, the homeland of the “sakız” (mastic) artichoke, and featuring talks, workshops, and exhibitions, the festival is held on April 26-28 this year.
