Turkish Airlines Supports Higher Education
The 4th Eurasia Higher Education Summit, for which Turkish Airlines is the official airline sponsor, gathered successful universities, academics, and the prominent representatives of higher education in Istanbul.
Participated by more than 350 universities and organizations from 63 countries, the 4th Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE) took place at Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center with the attendance of Republic of Turkey Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu in addition to over 3,000 university presidents, vice rectors, deans, and academics. Hosted by Mini Ada, Turkey’s first humanoid robot, the summit’s opening speech was made by Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee M. İlker Aycı. Aycı said, “Wherever you travel around the world, you will meet tolerant, just, and sensitive people who once lived in this land.
Our universities and teachers strive to pass knowledge down to our students through scientific methods. Turkey has shown development in all fields in recent years as we continue to rise in areas from medicine to aviation.”
The event hosted more than 50 panels, seminars, and symposiums which discussed new trends in higher education, artificial intelligence technologies, Industry 4.0, STEM education, women’s leadership in higher education, the higher education of refugees, entrepreneurship and technology, smart diplomas, emerging countries in education, and Turkey’s increasing value in higher education.
