Training Support for Exporters from Turkish Airlines
Turkish Airlines and UPS signed a “Training and Transporting of Dangerous Goods” collaboration protocol aimed at members of the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB).

Association aims to increase exports in the chemical sector, Turkey’s second largest export sector, and expand into new markets. To this end and focusing its attention on its members, the association signed a “Training and Transportating of Dangerous Goods” protocol with the Turkish Airlines Aviation Academy and UPS.
As a part of this collaboration, companies that are members of the IKMIB will receive high-quality safety training for the transportation of dangerous goods in order to acquire validation from IATA and be certified for such services.Participants who complete the training successfully will receive a certificate approved by IATA and the General Directorate of Dangerous Goods and Combined Transport (TMKT).
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Turkish Airlines Chairman of Training Müjdat Uludağ highlighted that the flag carrier airline supports Turkish exporters with the words, “We fly Turkish exporters to more than 300 cities in the world. We are increasing support for our exporters with our new collaboration in the field of training. By providing training of an international standard to members of the IKMIB, the Turkish Airlines Aviation Academy will make a significant contribution to its members expanding into new markets.”
