109, 213, Periodical Library, Roof Studios: An Alternative Way of Reading The Building
Emirhan Kurtuluş, Merve Eflatun | Reading the building means deciphering spatial codes of it and learning from it. Nezih Eldem -architect, academician- is a person who was always prominent with his attitude on teaching through building. In this text, his designs in Taşkışla are scrutinised for -again- learning from it in a different way. 109, 213, Periodicals Library and Roof Studios are represented with notes including the experiences and discourses about the spaces. In addition to the textual representation, the narrative is multiplied by the images inspired by the famous slides of “Space Organization” lesson given by Eldem. In this way, the relationships in-between the spaces were tried to be made clear. The aim of the fragmental text structure is to make critical thoughts about the spaces stronger and to learn by experiencing space.
