A Neglected Figure: Architect Melih Koray and Breeze Block Implementations

In order to develop this perspective, many tools were used. Among them, the breeze block which had been used in early 20th century by Perret and Wright was probably the one that was pervasive in many lands. Turkey was one of the regions that was influenced by the implementations of breeze block. In this paper, the aim is to analyze the importance of breeze block in the architectural practice of one of the prominent architects of Turkey, Melih Koray.
