Coca-Cola İçecek to invest in a third manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan

Coca-Cola İçecek, operating in 11 countries with nearly 10 thousand employees, is preparing for new investments in Kazakhstan. Starting its operations as early as 1994 in the country, CCI Kazakhstan, has become one of the 3 largest markets of the company, reaching 19 million consumers.
Burak Başarır, CEO of CCI, said that CCI delivers the highest quality products produced at two state-of-theart plants in Almaty and Astana, adding that Kazakhstan with its promising young and dynamic population acts as a locomotive in Central Asia.
CCI being one of the first foreign direct investors of independent Kazakhstan, Başarır said, “We provide more than 7 thousand direct and indirect jobs in the country with our two plants. Creating value for all our stakeholders lies at the heart of our strategic growth model”. Başarır also added: “Over 10 years we have invested around 250 million dolars in the country and now we are about to further invest in the third plant. This new investment planned in Shymkent is concrete proof of our continued commitment in Kazakhstan.” “As a reliable and sustainable investor, we see high potential in Kazakhstan. We continue to increase our production capacity, develop the capabilities and skills of our employees, and support retailers and distributors with our expertise” said Başarır.
