Getting ready to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Türkiye is strengthening its relations with Uzbekistan, the strategic country of Central

Asia, day by day. Türkiye is one of the countries where Uzbekistan, which draws attention with its fertile agricultural areas and rich underground mines, trades the most.

The Republic of Türkiye, which is preparing to turn 100 years old, is the first country to recognize the independence of Uzbekistan on December 16, 1991. Diplomatic relations between the two countries, which started on March 4, 1992, have been getting stronger day by day for the past thirty years.

Uzbekistan is in an important position for regional peace and stability with its population approaching 33 million, geostrategic location, deep-rooted history, rich cultural values and economic potential. Türkiye, which is preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic, attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with brotherly Uzbekistan in every field and maintains its will to advance relations that are strengthened by the close ties between the Turkish and Uzbek peoples.

The world's 7th largest uranium producer and 5th exporter, Uzbekistan's known uranium reserves are around 185 thousand 500 tons. On the territory of Uzbekistan there are a large amount of salt deposits, raw materials of aluminum, marble, granite, precious stones and construction materials.
