- Yusuf Sarıkoç

Stating that they have produced projects with their half-century of experience in business life, Chairman of the Board of Koç Construction,

Yusuf Sarıkoç said that the company, where the second generation works today, was doing electrical contracting works during the establishment phase. Underlining that they then moved to the mechanical contracting and main contractor phase, Sarıkoç stated that they adopted the basic principle of timely and successful work completion, in this period.

Stating that the adventure that started as a family business has reached another point with the institutionalization brought by growth, Sarıkoç stated that they have now become a global player.

Saying that they have signed important projects as Koç Construction in Uzbekistan, where the magnificent works of civilization, historical and religious figures, valuable elders, leaders and sultans are located, Yusuf Sarıkoç said that they have investments in the food and mining sectors in this country and their main works are in electricity, mechanics and construction.

Stating that the successful projects of Turkish origin construction companies in various parts of the world guide them, Sarıkoç said, "Unless there are very extraordinary conditions, our companies did not leave any projects unfinished, they are trying to complete and finish them even in times of war, where difficulties are experienced."

“We developed during the pandemic”

Stating that they are one of the success examples of Turkish companies in their homeland of Uzbekistan, Sarıkoç said, “The close attention shown to us here, the hard work of its people, made us feel the warmth in our home. We are very glad and happy with it and are determined to expand our Koç-Uzbekistan union and our investments as long as this warm interest and support continues in here.”

Expressing that they have grown even more, aside from experiencing difficulties in construction and contracting projects during the pandemic process, Sarıkoç said, “The reason for our growth is that we provide an advantage to the investor. Namely, we were able to minimize the costs, as we provided all the rough construction, architectural, electrical, mechanical stages from excavation, together with the project and business development, on a turnkey basis. This set us apart from the rest.”

“Goal is to build an airport”

Stating that they started with housing projects in Uzbekistan and moved on to the construction of hotels, shopping malls and high-rise towers, Sarıkoç said, “We have completed our 4 years. As our hospital project continues, we are adding new goals to our goals. One of them is to build an airport in Uzbekistan. As construction, we intend to turn to the industrial side. Factories and natural gas power plants are among our goals in Uzbekistan.”

Yusuf Sarıkoç said, “Uzbekistan has started to take very important and valuable steps towards the level of modern and civilized countries with its very new and free independence and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's future-oriented initiatives. In order to convey these contributions to the people of Uzbekistan, who deserve a modern life, very important moves have been made, especially in the construction sector while paying maximum attention to its historical and natural values. A mobilization has been declared in order to make the existing and old Russian architectural, urban planning and the patterns brought by its planning equivalent to today's modern and technological countries.

Stating that the selection of the right technology, visionary design and construction groups in projects and manufacturing contributed to the strong breakthrough of the country, Sarıkoç said, “As Koç Construction, we will continue to serve with superior effort and work tempo in order to write our name in the construction and development era of Uzbekistan. We bear this responsibility not only to the users who will benefit from the work we do, but also to the whole country.”

“We aim to be the largest company in the country”

Yusuf Sarıkoç said, “We continue to support and contribute to the goals that the friendly and brotherly country of Uzbekistan plans to reach. We continue to serve proudly in our homeland, Uzbekistan with our touristic facilities-hotels in Zaamin, Bukhara, Tashkent, our Pyramid Residence tower and shopping center project which we continue with our own resources, our residential and office buildings located in the most exclusive locations of Tashkent, fairgrounds and recreation projects and Tashkent Oncology Hospital.”
