Standing out with its investments in energy, value-added industry and mining, Cengiz Holding alone meets 5% of the electricity production in Türkiye with its 4.783 MW installed power. The company has two natural gas cycle power plants in Tashkent and Sirdario, Uzbekistan with a total installed capacity of 480 MW.

Cengiz Holding Energy Group Chairman, Ahmet Cengiz said that Cengiz Holding, one of Türkiye’s largest industrial enterprises, continues its investments in Türkiye and abroad with its focus on energy, value-added industry, mining technology and a family of 43 thousand people.

“We share the same language and the culture”

Emphasizing that the region called the Turkic Republics is very important for Cengiz Holding, Ahmet Cengiz said, “Because we share the same language and culture; this makes us stand out as an investor in the region. Uzbekistan is one of these countries. We have had very good relations with them since the day our investments were 'thoughts'. Mentioning that all of these enable faster steps to be taken in investment, Cengiz said, “We currently have two natural gas cycle power plants in Uzbekistan, one in Tashkent and the other in Sirdaryo, with a total installed capacity of 480 MW. Apart from these, Eti Bakır has mining activities in Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Romania.”

Informing that they have a chemical plant in the UK that sells cobalt to battery manufacturers all over the world, Cengiz said, “Cengiz İnşaat has very important infrastructure, highway, tunnel, airport and railway projects that have been completed and continues in countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Northern Iraq, Kuwait, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania.“

“New fertilizer facility investment”

Stating that the construction of a new fertilizer facility is continuing in the area where the copper smelting facility is located in Samsun, Ahmet Cengiz said, “As our new fertilizer facility is completed in 2025, our total fertilizer production will reach 1.2 million tons. We started working on a new mine in Elazığ that we have bought, we will establish a flotation facility there. At Eti Aluminum, we pressed the button for the production of special alumina used in strategic sectors; we are also working on a rolling mill facility.”
