Ankara chess mu­seum just ‘can­not help it­self ’

THE GÖKYAY Foun­da­tion Chess Mu­seum has brought to­gether nearly 676 chess sets from 100 dif­fer­ent coun­tries on six con­ti­nents for peo­ple in Ankara prov­ince. The mu­seum will wel­come Mu­seum Week, which starts to­day and con­tin­ues until May 24, with a full pro­gram. The mu­seum, which visi­tors can en­ter free of charge to­day until 09.00 p.m., will present visi­tors with the “Ja­pan Pho­tog­ra­phy Con­ver­sa­tion” and the photo exhibition “I Can’t Help My­self.”

PHO­TOG­RA­PHY CON­VER­SA­TION AND EXHIBITION

On the first day of Mu­seum Week, the Gökyay Foun­da­tion Chess Mu­seum will host two events. In the “Ja­pan Pho­tog­ra­phy Con­ver­sa­tion,” pho­tog­ra­phy artist Yavuz Ildız, a mem­ber of the Ankara Pho­tog­ra­phy Artists Foun­da­tion (AFSAD), will share his im­pres­sions with guests. The con­ver­sa­tion takes place at 07:00 p.m. and will be ac­com­pa­nied by Ja­panese chess sets.

LIFE IN SENE­GAL IN GAMZE ELİF BOZO’S EYES

Pho­tog­ra­phy artist Elif Gamze Bozo will ex­hibit unforgettable mem­o­ries from her visit to Sene­gal in Africa with the pho­tog­ra­phy exhibition “I Can’t Help My­self.” The artist, whose life is based on tak­ing pho­tos and writ­ing, in­vites peo­ple to the exhibition, say­ing, “You should see the traces of the war, peace and his­tor­i­cal process in Sene­gal with my eyes.” The exhibition con­tin­ues for a week and can be vis­ited at Kır­mızı Hall in the mu­seum.
