ZERO TARIFF QUOTAS ENABLING IMPORT OF SOME AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS REMOVED
Turkey has abolished a regulation that allowed tax-free import of some agricultural products, such as milk, butter, soybean and palm oil in certain amounts. The regulation had allowed the import of milk and cream, butter, corn starch, soybean, palm, rapeseed, mustard oils and other vegetable fats and oils and some seeds with zero customs tax and quotas, defined in amounts ranging from 2,500 tons to 9,000 tons. The new decision, made official through a presidential decree, was published in the Official Gazette on Friday. The import licenses issued in 2018 will be valid until Dec. 31.
