ZERO TARIFF QUOTAS EN­ABLING IMPORT OF SOME AGRI­CUL­TURAL PROD­UCTS REMOVED

Tur­key has abol­ished a reg­u­la­tion that al­lowed tax-free import of some agri­cul­tural prod­ucts, such as milk, but­ter, soy­bean and palm oil in cer­tain amounts. The reg­u­la­tion had al­lowed the import of milk and cream, but­ter, corn starch, soy­bean, palm, rape­seed, mus­tard oils and other veg­etable fats and oils and some seeds with zero cus­toms tax and quotas, de­fined in amounts rang­ing from 2,500 tons to 9,000 tons. The new de­ci­sion, made of­fi­cial through a pres­i­den­tial de­cree, was pub­lished in the Of­fi­cial Gazette on Fri­day. The import li­censes is­sued in 2018 will be valid until Dec. 31.
