Economic confidence in Turkey on the rise

Confidence in Turkey’s economy increased in March, according to TurkStat on Thursday. The Economic Confidence Index rose by 5 percent to 96.9 points from 91.5 points in February. “The rise in the economic confidence index stemmed from the increase in constructi­on, services, consumer and real sector confidence indices,” the index report said. Data showed that all sub-indices,

except retail trade, contribute­d positively to the improvemen­t in the main index, with advances up to 12.3 percent.
