IFC invests in Turkish hospital group’s Bulgaria unit

The Internatio­nal Finance Corporatio­n (IFC) has invested 15 million euros in equity in the Bulgarian unit of the Turkish hospital group Acibadem, the parties said in a statement on May 30. The investment in Acibadem City Clinic will give a further boost to the IFC’s growth in the Middle East and Balkans and improve healthcare services in Bulgaria. Acibadem recently made its third foreign investment and became the largest private healthcare provider in Bulgaria by acquiring Tokuda Group and City Clinic Group.
