Life, death, religion: What, where, how?
CUMHURIYET July 21 TAYFUN ATAY
...Religion, of course, plays an important support role against the helplessness of the life that is worthy of death but opens up the human that loves life and desires to live forever. But religion is not “everything” either. ...Religion is the mediator between death and life. Trying to make religion dominant over life does not mean more than trying to fit life into death. Life ends in death. But life does not equate to death. Because of that, everyone who wants to live life to the fullest, including religious people, are taking a dislike to religion because of the “religionist engineering” trying to equate life with death or put death to life. This is what we have been exposed to for a long time in this country.
