Eight bids in wind project tender
Eight consortia, including four German companies, participated in the Turkish Energy Ministry’s 1,000 megawatts (MW) wind power project tender on July 27, according to a news report in Reuters. Chinese and Danish Vestas also took part in the bidding consortia as well as the
U.S.’s General Electric along with their local partners. The winning consortium is expected to make more than $1 billion investment in the project. The bidding consortia includes the consortium of Denmark’s Vestas and Turkey’s Enerjisa, Germany’s Siemens and Turkey’s Turkerler and Kalyon consortium, Germany’s Enercon and Turkey’s Polat and Limak consortium, Germany’s Nordex and Turkey’s Iklim Electric Investment.
