Turkey to see highest net capital inflow among EMs in 2018

Data from the Institute of Internatio­nal Finance (I IF) revealed that emerging market will attract $42.3 billion in net capital inflows this year. Turkey is expected to have the highest capital inflow at $51.3 billion among emerging markets while South Korea is estimated to register a capital outflow of $77 billion. The IIF report stated that twelve emerging countries, including Turkey, will enjoy net capital inflows estimated at $264 billion. On the other hand, $221.7 billion will leave five countries. Last year, Turkey experience­d an inflow of $39.1 billion. In the first four months this year, Turkey attracted 25.8 billion the re sort said.
