New company launches up 17 percent in 2018

Turkey saw an annual r se of 17 percent n the number of newly-establ shed compan es n 2018, the Turk sh Un on of Chambers and Commod ty Exchanges (TOBB) revealed January 25. The organ zat on sa d 85,279 compan es were establ shed last year, up from 72,871 n 2017. The number of compan es wh ch went out of bus ness decreased 7 percent year-on-year to stand at 12,564 n 2018. The number of new fore gn-partnered or fore gn-funded compan es reached 13,405 n the same per od.
