The youth unemployment rate - persons age 15 to 24 - reached 22.3 percent n October, up three percentage po nts versus the same month n 2017, TurkStat noted. Meanwh le, the number of employed persons rose to 28.87 m ll on n the month, up 225,000 on a yearly bas s n October, nd cat ng a 47.5 percent employment rate n the country. “Accord ng to the d str but on of employment by sector, 18.5 percent were employed n agr culture, 19.7 percent n ndustry, 6.7 percent n construct on, and 55 percent n serv ces,” TurkStat sa d.
