Dogus Group to bid for Alimos Port
Ferit Şahenk, the boss of Dogus Group, which is in the process of signing a 2.3 billion euro restructuring agreement with banks, continues to work on new investments while selling assets. Sahenk, who has sold four hotels in the past 3 months, is preparing for an important tender in Athens, according to Kerim Uker of daily DUNYA. Alimos, his next target, is not only the biggest marina in Greece but also the Balkans. Along with Sahenk, two more consortia and companies have tendered bids for Alimos. The process was announced on the official web site of the Greek Privatization Administration (TAIPED.) According to TAIPED, three proposals were received for Alimos. Dogus Group will enter the tender with a consortium called Lamda Dogus Marina Investment SA, which was established with Lamda, a Greek partner. Greek Aktor Concessios SA and the Aviareps-Cosmos partnership will also bid for the tender.
Koc abandoned the partnership
Previously, Koc Holding was among the 10 companies and consortia interested in Alimos. Daily DUNYA reported the Koc-Dogus competition over Alimos, which has a 1,100 boat mooring capacity, last year. In our news, we wrote that Tek-Art Kalamis and Fenerbahce Marmara Turizm Tesisleri, owned by Koç Holding, would cooperate with Greek Aktor for this tender. As the information we obtained and TAIPED explained, Koç Holding withdrew from the tender and abandoned the partnership with Aktor.
