Recycling with solar energy
The capacity of the Integrated Waste Recycling, Recovery and Collection Separation Facility established in Adana by Remaster Entegre Atik Yonetimi Petrol Tasima Sanayi Ticaret A.S. is enlarging its area of focus. According to Sabiha Kotek of Energy Gundemi, approximately one million Turkish liras is expected to be spent for the capacity increase work of the project.
The initial phase of the project carries out activities like Classification-Utilization of Industrial Wastes, Waste-derived Fuel Generation, Oil Filter Recycling, Sludge Drying, Barrel and IBC Washing, Solar Energy Based Electricity Generation Plant and Tank Farm. Fluorescent Recycling, TonerCartridge Recycling, ElectricalElectronic Waste Recycling,
Scrap Cable Recycling Facility and Non-Hazardous Waste Collection Separation activities will be added in the coming phase.
A Waste-Derived Fuel Generation Facility, Solar Energy Based Electricity Generation Plant and
Tank Farm are currently in operation. Some additional waste recycling is also planned within the scope of the project such as waste fluorescent lamps, waste toner-cartridge, electric-electronic waste, and scrap cables. The energy needs of the machinery, lighting, offices and all other electrical appliances within the facility will be run by solar energy.
