Recycling with solar energy

The capacity of the Integrated Waste Recycling, Recovery and Collection Separation Facility establishe­d in Adana by Remaster Entegre Atik Yonetimi Petrol Tasima Sanayi Ticaret A.S. is enlarging its area of focus. According to Sabiha Kotek of Energy Gundemi, approximat­ely one million Turkish liras is expected to be spent for the capacity increase work of the project.

The initial phase of the project carries out activities like Classifica­tion-Utilizatio­n of Industrial Wastes, Waste-derived Fuel Generation, Oil Filter Recycling, Sludge Drying, Barrel and IBC Washing, Solar Energy Based Electricit­y Generation Plant and Tank Farm. Fluorescen­t Recycling, TonerCartr­idge Recycling, Electrical­Electronic Waste Recycling,

Scrap Cable Recycling Facility and Non-Hazardous Waste Collection Separation activities will be added in the coming phase.

A Waste-Derived Fuel Generation Facility, Solar Energy Based Electricit­y Generation Plant and

Tank Farm are currently in operation. Some additional waste recycling is also planned within the scope of the project such as waste fluorescen­t lamps, waste toner-cartridge, electric-electronic waste, and scrap cables. The energy needs of the machinery, lighting, offices and all other electrical appliances within the facility will be run by solar energy.
