Yesim Textile opens its third factory in Egypt
Yesim Textile has added a new factory to its Alexandria and Cairo facilities in Egypt. The new facility in Ismailia will export to the world’s leading sportswear brands.
“We are continuing our growth and development in Egypt, our investment region abroad.” CEO Senol Sankaya said. “After the Alexandria and Cairo facilities, which are already in production, we have
also commissioned our Ismailia factory. We will continue to export from Egypt to the world’s leading sportswear brands.”
Yesim Textile also has a production facility in Moldova.
“Altough we are going through a negative period in the global economic environment, we will continue to contribute to our own development and exports in a planned manner,” Sankaya noted. “We aim to contribute to the development of the region and to support the increase in export volumes of our country with the new production center that we plan to implement in Agri, Turkey, with the help of a government incentive mechanism.”
Yesim Textile already has one of the highest levels of female employment under one roof in Turkey but the company continues to look at capacity and employment growth, Sankaya added. “As part of our future plans, we decided to add an additional 1000 employees in September 2018. We have already reached the 3,500 employees we planned to reach by the end of 2019. Seventy-five percent of our new recruitment will also be women, so the rate of female employees will exceed 60 percent.”
