Turkey announces financing package for exporters
Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan announced a TRY 256 million ($45 million) financing package for Turkish exporters on September 4. Turkish Exporters’ Assembly and Turk Eximbank signed a protocol for the package, Pekcan tweeted. The low interest financing package will be used by exporters, she stressed. Since Turk Eximbank was founded in 1987, it has conducted export credit, buyer credit, credit insurance, and guarantee programs aimed at developing Turkey’s economic and political ties with other countries.
