Tur­key is very im­por­tant for our tar­gets: Citroen CEO

Citroen CEO Linda Jack­son came to Tur­key for the launch of the new Citroen C5 Air­cross, held last week in Sa­panca. Jack­son em­pha­sized the im­por­tance of Tur­key for their brand. “Citroen has put a sales tar­get of 1.5 mil­lion units world­wide for 2021. We will achieve this by im

prov­ing sales in Europe and in­creas­ing its mar­ket share to over 5 per­cent. Tur­key will play an im­por­tant role in this. We need Tur­key to be able to grow in Europe,” she said. She also un­der­lined that they are ready give ev­ery kind of sup­port to Tur­key, which they see as one of the most im­por­tant mar­kets in Europe. “We are aware that we are in­ad­e­quate in terms of model sup­ply to Tur­key. Citroen Tur­key ex­ec­u­tives are push­ing us for new models. We are do­ing our best to solve the de­liv­ery prob­lem as we at­tach great im­por­tance to Tur­key. We are 180 per­cent be­hind you!”

PSA Group Tur­key Chair­man Cor­nu­aille Olivier stated that hy­brid and elec­tric ver­sions of all models will be of­fered to the mar­ket in the com­ing years and all models will be elec­tric cars by 2025. Cor­nu­aille also men­tioned the year-end mar­ket ex­pec­ta­tions and said: “The mar­ket is start­ing to recover. We ex­pect mo­bil­ity in sales in the com­ing months.”
