So, is this politics?

- FIKRI SAGLAR

THE REPUBLICAN PEOPLE’S PARTY (CHP) losing control of Isbank, snap elections, and coup attempts – these claims ruined Eid al-Fitr.

1-Isbank doesn’t belong to CHP, so it can’t lose its control. The intention of stealing Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s shares shows that the Republic of Turkey is losing its status as a constitutional state.

2-A possible coup in Turkey is out of the question.

3-A snap election is not in the constitution, but the impeachment of the President or the abolishment of the General Assembly is a point in question. So either the President will impeach himself and the assembly, or 360 members of the parliament will come together and hold an early election after abolishing the President and the General Assembly.

In that case, why is everyone panicking over a snap election? It’s because this agenda benefits both the government in power and the opposition. With this snap election claim, the opposition strengthens its ties with its voters. Also, the government in power is distracting the country with this agenda instead of focusing on real issues such as hunger, unemployment, economic slowdown, inequality, and injustice.

While this artificial agenda continues, the CHP’s statement is also very interesting! The CHP offering to provide representatives to DEVA and the Future Party if they can’t make it to the election shows just how unethical politics has became. The CHP used this tactic before to help the IYI Party participate in the previous election. This unethical behavior was accepted in the case of the IYI Party, which was assembled by a group of people fighting for democracy within the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).
