Makam Music

Dear Readers,

As Makam Music Family, we have left behind our first year together with you. Every issue we prepared was more meaningful and more comprehensive with supports from you.

The citylines ferry, which was named after Prof. Dr. Alaeddin Yavaşça, began voyages to the blue waters of the Bosphorus. We start this issue with our children who are our future. We are hosting the Borusan Children's Choir and well-regarded conductor, Gülsen Yavuzkal.

The archive of Dr. Şehvar Beşiroğlu, who is always memorialized with mercy and gratitude, was donated to the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory by her elder sister Lawyer Beyza Koral. The last part of our journey to the recent history of Turkish music with Kudsi Erguner is allocated in this issue for you.
