THE THREE MUSKETEERS BALLET THE FIRST TIME IN ISTANBUL

Istanbul State Opera and Ballet performed the premiere of “Three Musketeers” ballet on the evening of December 1st.

Alexandra Dumas (père)’s immortal work, “Three Musketeers”, was transferred to the ballet stage with the musical pieces of Giuseppe Verdi.

The scenario and choreography of the work belong to Armağan Davran and Volkan Ersoy, who have received the Ballet - Dance Choreography and Ballet - Dance Production Awards of the 4th Donizetti Classical Music Awards, with their choreographies of the ballet Murat V. The music arrangement of the work was performed by Bujor Hoinic, who also led the orchestra.

The story of the book “Three Musketeers”, which has the most important role in the rise of Alexandre Dumas (père), who has earned a well-deserved reputation with his historical novels and plays, takes place in the 16th century France.
