IT’S TIME FOR AKBANK JAZZ FESTIVAL!

Ready to welcome jazz enthusiasts for 29th time this year, Akbank Jazz Festival will be held between October 17 and 27 at 36 different venues, hosting over 130 native and foreign artists.

Board Member and CEO of Akbank, Hakan Binbaşgil, highlighted that Akbank is sponsoring perennial and sustainable culture and arts projects and now presenting the Jazz Festival to art lovers with excitement and enthusiasm over and over again for 29 years. He added as follows:

“Beyond the boundaries of Istanbul, Akbank Jazz Festival has an important mission that carries the rhythm of jazz into the high schools, universities and Anatolia”.

Emphasizing that the precious support from musicians and great interest of jazz enthusiasts are what keep Akbank Jazz Festival going uninterruptedly and as fresh as ever for 29 years now. Derya Bigalı, the Director of Akbank art Center, underlined that they are utterly happy to have bridged over thousands of artists with tens of thousands of love enthusiasts at Istanbul with all its hues and rhythm for 29 years.

Ayşegül Turfan Mumcuoğlu, the Managing Partner of Pozitif Muzik A.Ş., and Gözde Sivişoğlu, the Festival Director took care of organization and content plan-out. They explained that the festival program was prepared under 11 themes, now enriched with new contents, namely, “Jazz in the Room”, and “Jazz Cuisine”.
