Big 5 is better that way!
The biggest construction fair of the Middle East was held for the 40th time, and 17 Turkish companies opened stands.
Here is an undiscussed fact. The Big 5 Show is the very core of the construction sector of the Middle East. The statistics reveal it all. Having celebrated its 40th anniversary, this established organization attracted more than 68 thousand visitors from 134 countries and embodied 2507 stands of the companies from 66 countries. From pavement to doors, from construction materials to door handles, all kinds of products are exhibited. However, for the last four years, things have not worked out so well between the fair organization and the exhibitors. The fact that natural stone companies were forced to attend the new fair called Middle East Stone from 2015 onwards and the reaction of the sector to this imposition had brought about several problems, and we had kept abreast of this period as Marble Trend.4
Marble companies changed place
This imposition in Dubai is no more. Middle East Stone is once again included in the Big 5 Show, and the problem is solved! Held on November 25-28, 2019, at Dubai World Trade Center, the fair made the marble sector happy. Within Middle East Stone, a total of 181 marble companies exhibited. The exhibitors, who we’re used to seeing at Sheikh Rashid Hall during the Big 5 Show, changed their addresses. Middle East Stone was held at Sheikh Saed Hall.4
Chinese-Italian dominance
Turkey’s natural participation in the fair was organized by Expotim, and 17 companies were included. As the Turkish exhibitors welcomed their guests at the area Sheikh Saeed 1, the number of exhibitors was announced to be 181. The Chinese were the ones to have shown the most interest. 74 Chinese companies exhibited in the fair, whereas the number of Italian companies was recorded as 27. We could barely say that there was any crowd at the hall of marble companies. However, the exhibitors stated that they were happy to see professional visitors around and to meet new people in the event.4
