EMIB’s landing in Mexico

The Turkish Natural Stone Industry keeps on working to increase its potency in alternative markets. Aegean Mineral Exporters’ Association (EMIB) organized a sectoral trade committee in Mexico, to which our natural stone export increased by 148% in 2018. Nine companies participated in the “Mexico Sectoral Trade Committee,” which corresponded to the Expo Cihac Fair in Mexico. Mevlüt Kaya, president of EMIB, said, “Mexico is one of the countries selected by the Ministry of Commerce. It’s the eleventh biggest economy of the world. We’ve invited Mexican importers to the Izmir Marble Fair in 2020. We’ll get them to see Turkish stones’ richness and variety in color at Marble Fair. We aim at exporting natural stone worth $50 million in the medium term.”
