Maden İhracatçıları Birliği (İMİB) Başkanı Aydın Dinçer’in büyük mücadelesiyle bu hatadan dönülmesini sağlamıştık. Doğaltaş sektörünün canını acıtan son haber ise Yargıtay’dan geldi.

No lies. We got used to it! We are used to getting backstapped again and again. We are used to those who are always ready to score an own goal while we continue exporting to all parts of the world. The last time when such a thing happened was when we had received the news about the exported stones that were being used in the towers of Ziraat Bank. We had prevented it through the struggle of Aydın Dinçer, the president of the Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association. The last bad news, however, came from the Turkish Supreme Court.

Ankara İncek’te yapımı devam eden ve toplam inşaat alanı 513 bin metrekare olan Yargıtay’ın 10 blokluk yeni kompleksinde ithal taş kullanılacağı ortaya çıktı. 1 milyar 30 bin TL yatırım bedelli projede toplam 14 bin metrekarelik doğaltaş, Yunanistan’dan ithal edilecek. Yargıtay Binası’nın ön yüzünü beyaz taşlarla süslemek için daha önce dolomit ve Makedonya taşları gibi seçeneklerin de gündeme geldiği, ancak son olarak Yunan taşında karar kılındığı öğrenildi. 2018 yılında başlanan projenin 2021 yılında tamamlanması bekleniyor.

It was revealed that exported stones were to be used in the new 10-block complex of the supreme court, whose construction continues in İncek, Ankara and in a total area of 513 thousand square meters. For the 1-billion TL project, a total of 14 thousand square meters of stones will be imported from Greece. It was later revealed that to adorn the building’s exterior with white stones, some dolomites and Macedonian stones were evaluated and later the Greek stones were decided. The project that started in 2018 is expected to finish in 2021.

Konuyla ilgili Marble Trend’e konuşan İMİB Başkanı Aydın Dinçer, gelinen noktanın kabul edilemez olduğunu söyledi. Dinçer, “Türkiye’de Afyon’dan Muğla’ya, Marmara’dan dolomite kadar istediğiniz çeşitte beyaz mermer mevcut. Ancak bir kez daha tercihin ithal taşlardan yana olduğunu görüyoruz. Ziraat Bankası’nın ikiz kuleleri için de benzer durumda karşılaşmış, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanı Mustafa Varank’ı devreye sokmuştuk. Yine bu durumu değiştirmek için elimizden gelen ne varsa yapacağız” diye konuştu.

Talking to Marble Trend about the matter, IMIB President Aydın Dinçer said that it was unacceptable. Dinçer also said, “Turkey has all shades of white marbles from Afyon, Muğla and Marmara to dolomites. However, once again we see that they decided on the exported stones. We had faced a similar situation about the twin towers of Ziraat Bank and informed Mustafa Varank, the minister of industry and technology about the matter. We are going to do everything we can to change this.”
