It’s Y Generation’s turn
Marble Trend is celebrating its fourteenth birthday...
Ever since we started the publication of our magazine, there has been a “Taşlama” (stoning as we call it) column...
Considering my other articles in the other magazines I worked for, it’s been almost 18 years, which means that the column is a little older than Marble Trend itself... We’ve witnessed wonderful times in which the sector earned a lot and prospered, but also problematic times full of obstacles and troubles...
As a 38-year journalist, I’ve always tried to see the empty half of the glass. We’ve discussed the reasons for its emptiness, and questioned those who were responsible. We’ve tried to suggest solutions as best as we could... If we’ve committed mistakes so far, let them be forgiven... Time flies and the world is changing rapidly...

As a member of the X Generation, I feel a little tired and I believe that it’s time to pass the torch to the younger generation...
With our successful editorial director Hasan Ercazip, who I worked with as a journalist, contributing to his vocational development, our paths had crossed again five years ago for Marble Trend Magazine and now the “Taşlama” column belongs to him...
With Sercan Tansu Aydın in charge of our digital media, I have no doubts that the Y Generation will go even further both in printed and digital editions of our magazine... Even though the owner of the magazine won’t change, I believe that its energy will, positively.
They have my full support and I’m right behind them.
