Italian tune in Muğla

Yılanlı is one of the most popular points of Turkey in the last period with its newlyopened quarries and many exclusive and elegant stones. One of those quarries belongs to Arena Marble and two different selections are extracted at the quarry that was opened three years ago. Both the stones bear Italian patterns.

The one that is at the forefront with its mobile structure is called Calacatta del Arena, whereas the plain one is called Carrara del Arena. According to Fırat Biçici, the board chairman of the firm, the stone, which is going to be displayed for the first time at the Izmir fair, is quite promising. Biçici says, “There are many quarries in Yılanlı. Calacatta del Arena is a particular stone that is above the standards. Our expectations are high. As processed products, Carrara is more popular. However, Calacatta is more popular in blocks.”
