Turkish Airlines Held Its Management Summit
The global carrier that flies to 318 destinations worldwide held its management summit, organized annually, on January
16. The airline’s goals for 2020 were discussed at the event where Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee M. İlker Aycı’s messages regarding productivity stood out. This year, the summit was attended by hundreds of Turkish Airlines executives from all over the world, and was held in Istanbul.
Referring to the Great Move from Atatürk Airport to Istanbul Airport that was completed successfully last year in record time in 33 hours, speaking at the summit M. İlker Aycı said, “I believe that in the future 2019 will be described as the ‘tale of the great move.’ Every member of this family extended unforgettable commitment and made great contributions during the move. Throughout our history, we have achieved great success not only by carrying passengers and cargo, but also by carrying the hopes
of our country and the visions of civilization. In these terms, our accomplishment with the Great Move is extremely valuable.”
Highlighting the issues arising from aircraft manufacturers in 2019, M. Ilker Aycı expressed the global airline’s expectations for 2020 by saying, “Even at such a time, we succeeded in keeping our budget at a reasonable level. In 2020, we will be beside you at all times. We will land at even more destinations, and together we will become even stronger. The synergy and dynamism we have achieved will be felt even more. You will see, 2020 will be a year that will fill us with pride. This huge family of 60,000 members will accomplish greater achievements in its new home with a more efficient approach. One of our main aims in 2020 is to increase our efficiency in Business Class sales and marketing. Our target in this aspect is clear: we plan to increase our sales with our new Business Class products on our new aircraft, and strengthen our position in this field even further.”
