İMİB and EMİB Presidents met the representatives of sectoral magazines

Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri toplantı salonunda 6 sektör dergisinin temsilcilerine 2021 yılında yaşananlar anlatıldı. Son dönemde artan blok mermer taşımacılığında kullanılan konteynerların hasar gördüğü gerekçesiyle mermerciler aleyhine ardı ardına açılan tazminat davalarında Birliklerin hukuki açıdan sektöre destek olacağı, bununla ilgili sistemin oluşturulduğu anlatıldı.

Representatives of the Aegean Exporters’ Association informed the 6 publications of the natural stone sector about the latest developments in the sector in a meeting held at the meeting hall of the Association. The representatives explained that the Unions will legally support the sectoral companies in the lawsuits filed one after the other against marble manufacturers on the grounds that the containers used in the transportation of block marbles have been damaged.

Dinçer değerlendirme toplantısında ilk olarak ihracat rakamlarını değerlendirerek başladı.

Dinçer İhracat açısından geçtiğimiz yılın bir değerlendirmesini yapılacak olursa blok ihracatında henüz pandemi öncesi rakamlarını yakalayamadığımızı, ancak böyle sorunlu bir dönemde işlenmiş ürün ihracatında başarılı bir yıl geçirdiğimize işaret etti. “Ekonomideki hareketlilik ve döviz kurlarının yüksekliği bizi daha fazla ihracat yapmaya yönlendiriyor.” diyerek sözlerine devam eden Dinçer pandemi döneminin en önemli sorunlarından birisi olan konteyner sorunlarına bir

Welcoming the representatives of the sectoral magazines in the Aegean Exporters’ Association meeting hall, the Presidents of İMİB and EMİB gave information about the problems experienced and the gains achieved in 2021 in the information meeting. Aydın Dinçer, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of İMİB, who took the f irst floor at the information meeting, started the evaluation meeting by evaluating the export f igures.

HASARLI KONTEYNER BEDELLERİ MADENCİYİ ZORA SOKTU

“Geçtiğimiz yıl konteyner ile ilgili ciddi sıkıntılar yaşadık. Öncelikle konteyner bulamadık. Daha sonra konteyner bulduk fakat f iyatları çok yüksekti. Uygun konteyner bulunca da iptaller söz konusu oldu ve gönderdiğimiz ürünler limanlarda veya depolarda beklemek zorunda kaldı. Bunlara ekstra ücretler ödemek zorunda kaldık fakat özellikle son iki yıldan beri f irmaların gönderdiği blok mermer konteynerlerinde hasar olduğu için taşıyıcı f irmalar taraf ından konteyner bedellerini çok aşan miktarlarda ücretler talep ediliyor. Ayrıca zarar gören konteynerin değiştirilmesi yerine tüm yük durduruluyor ve aktarma limanından gönderilerin yoluna devam edilmesine müsaade edilmiyor. Survey yapılacağı söylenerek f irmaların malları bazen birkaç ayı bulan sürelerde limanda bekletiliyor. Bu yaşanan gecikmeden dolayı da müşterilerin zarar görmesine ve f irmalara olan güvenlerini kaybetmeleri sonucu sonraki siparişlerini de iptal etmelerine neden oluyor. Bunun çözümü için çalışmalarımızı gerçekleştiriyoruz, bir yol haritası hazırlayıp firmalara duyuracağız. Bu kapsamda sözleşmeleri ayrıntılı bir şekilde kontrol edeceğiz, konteynerleri kiralarken blok mermer yüklediğimizi özellikle belirteceğiz

Sektörümüze yönelik olumsuz algıyı düzeltmeye yönelik çalışmalarımız hızla devam ediyor. Özellikle kamuoyunda itibar sahibi doğaya, çevreye duyarlılığı ile tanınan insanların ikna edilmesi bu noktada önem kazanıyor.

DAMAGED CONTAINER COSTS GAVE TROUBLE TO MINERAL EXPORTERS

Dinçer continued his words about the problem as follows: “Last year, we had serious problems with containers. First we had diff iculty in f inding containers.

Then, when we found, the prices were really high. When we found available containers, this time the buyers cancelled the transactions and our goods had to wait at ports or warehouses. We had to pay extra fees for them. Especially since the last two years, the transportation companies have been demanding extra fees on the grounds that their containers are getting damaged while carrying blocks. In addition, instead of replacing the damaged container, all shipment is stopped and their transfer from the transshipment port is not allowed.

The goods of the companies are kept in the port sometimes for several months on the pretext of surveys to be carried out, This delay causes customers to suffer damage and to cancel their next orders since they lose their trust in the exporter companies. We are working to solve this problem; we will prepare a roadmap and announce it to the companies. In this context, we will check the contracts in detail, we will specif ically state that we are loading blocks of marble when renting the containers, and we will ask for the past registry f iles of the containers.

ORMAN İZNİ BAŞVURU DOSYALARIMIZI TAM VE EKSİKSİZ TESLİM ETMELİYİZ

“Geçmişten bu yana devam eden bir diğer önemli sorunumuz ise orman izinleri konusu. Bir dönem Orman Genel Müdürlüğünde yaşanan bir sistem altyapısı çalışması nedeniyle oldukça çok sayıda başvuru dosyası genel müdürlükte birikmişti ancak şu an süreç hızlanmış ve bekleyen izinlerin çoğu verilmiş durumda. Halen mevzuatta olmayan gerekçelerle ret alan dosyalar mevcut. Bu konu ile ilgili yeni bir çalışma başlattık, başvuru us. WE MUST SUBMIT OUR FOREST PERMIT APPLICATION FILES FULL AND COMPLETE

Due to a system inf rastructure work that took place in the General Directorate of Forestry for a while, a large number of application f iles were accumulated in the general directorate, but now the process has accelerated and most of the pending permits have been granted.

There are still f iles that were rejected for reasons that are not in the legislation. We have started a new study on this subject. We send the application numbers and names of the companies that have submitted their application f iles to the

SEKTÖRE YÖNELİK OLAN OLUMSUZ ALGIYI ORTADAN KALDIRMALIYIZ

Sektörümüze yönelik olumsuz algıyı düzeltmeye yönelik çalışmalarımız hızla devam ediyor. Özellikle kamuoyunda itibar sahibi doğaya, çevreye duyarlılığı ile tanınan insanların ikna edilmesi bu noktada önem kazanıyor. Bu kişileri özellikle rehabilite edilmiş sahalara götürüyoruz, kendilerine doğru madencilik uygulamalarını gösteriyoruz ki bu alanda gördüklerini kamuoyu ile paylaşsınlar ve sektör üzerindeki olumsuz algı yavaş yavaş da olsa değişmeye başlasın. Sorumlu madencilik anlayışının sektörümüzde faaliyet gösteren tüm f irmalara yayılması öncelikli hedef imizdir.

TÜRK DOĞAL TAŞINI DÜNYAYA TANITIYORUZ

Doğal taşın yurt dışında yeni pazarlara ulaşması adına çalışmalar yaptıklarını kaydeden Dinçer, “Ticaret heyetlerimiz sayesinde doğal taşların yarattığı katma değeri daha geniş kitlelere anlatıyoruz. Bu ticaret heyetlerine f irmalarımız katılım gösterdiği takdirde yeni pazarlar ile tanışma f ırsatları yakalıyor. Pandemi sürecinde doğaltaş kullanımı konusunda karar verici durumda olan mimarlara Türk doğal taşının çeşitli tür ve desenlerinin anlatılması yönünde de online çalışmalar yaptık. ABD’ye yönelik “Çağdaş Tasarım ve Mimaride Türk Traverteni” konulu ve Amerikan Mimarlar Derneği (American Institute of Architects) ile “The Design Opportunites of Natural Stone” temalı general directorate and are pending, to the Ministry every one and a half months. WE MUST ELIMINATE THE NEGATIVE PERCEPTION TOWARDS NATURAL STONE SECTOR

We have been working towards changing the negative perception towards our sector. In this regard, it is important that we convince people who are known for their sensitivity to nature and the environment, especially in public opinion. We take these people especially to the rehabilitated fields and we show them the right mining practices so that they share what they see in this f ield with the public and the negative perception on the sector starts to change. Our primary goal is to spread the responsible mining approach to all companies operating in our sector.”

WE INTRODUCE TURKISH NATURAL STONE TO THE WORLD

Dinçer, stating that they are working for Turkish natural stone to reach new markets abroad, said: “Thanks to our trade delegations, we are explaining the added value created by natural stones to mass audiences. Participants of these trade delegations, get the opportunity to reach new markets. We have also carried out online studies to introduce various types and patterns of Turkish natural stone to architects who are the decision makers on the natural stone selections during the pandemic process. We organized a “Turkish Travertine in Contemporary Design and Architecture” titled webinar for the USA market and “The Design Opportunities of Natural Stone” themed webinar with the American Institute of Architects. We showed them the successful use of Turkish natural stones. We participated in Milan Design Week with the “Turkish Stones Library” exhibition. Therefore, we had the opportunity to show the potential of our

webinarlar düzenledik ve Türk doğal taşının ne denli başarılı sonuçlar gösterdiğini aktardık. Milano Tasarım Haftası’nda ise “Turkish Stones Library” sergisiyle katılım sağladık. Böylelikle doğal taş açısından bir diğer önemli ülke olan İtalya’da Türk taşı kütüphanesini sergileyerek ülkemizin bu alandaki potansiyelini gösterme f ırsatı yakaladık.

ÖNCE İNSAN ÖNCE DOĞA

Ege Maden İhracatçıları Birliği (EMİB) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Mevlüt Kaya istişare toplantısında yaptığı konuşmada özellikle sektörün tüm kurum ve kurullarının birlikte hareket etmesinin, tek ses, tek yürek olmasının önemini ifade etti. “Amasız fakatsız önce insan önce doğa!” sloganıyla başlattıkları mücadelede birlikten aldıkları kuvvetten duyduğu memnuniyeti ve herkesin ancak kendi evinin önünü temizleyerek sektörü bir bütün olarak daha iyi bir noktaya taşıyabileceklerinin altını çizdi. Mevlüt Kaya yaptığı konuşmada “Tüm birlik başkanları ve 16 STK ile yaptığımız görüşmeler de kendi öz denetimimizi yapma konusunda fikir birliğine vardık, devlet müdahale etmeden kendi yerel dinamiklerimizi harekete geçirerek daha sağlıklı çalışan sorunların üstesinden birlikte gelen ve kamuoyundaki olumsuz algıyı yıkan bir güç olacağımıza yürekten inanıyorum, bu anlamda tüm paydaşlarımıza teşekkür ederim” dedi.

HUMAN AND NATURE COMES FIRST

Chairman of the Board of Aegean Mine Exporters’ Association (EMİB), Mevlüt Kaya, in his speech at the consultation meeting, expressed the importance of the joint action of all institutions and boards of the sector, being one voice and one heart. He underlined his satisfaction with the strength they received f rom the union in the struggle they started with the motto, “Human and nature comes f irst without exception!” Kaya stated that the joint action of all the actors in the sector will raise the sector to a better level. In his speech, Mevlüt Kaya said, “We have reached a consensus on self-check in our meetings with all union presidents and 16 NGOs. I sincerely believe that we will be a force that overcomes problems by activating our own local dynamics and that changes the negative perception in the eye of public. In this regard, I would like to thank all our stakeholders. We had a very productive meeting with İZFAŞ regarding MARBLE 2022 and we are very satisf ied with the result of this meeting on behalf of the sector.”
