2023’ü geride bırakırken!... As we leave 2023 behind!...

Tüm dünya genelinde yaşanan ekonomik daralmanın etkisini derinden hissettiğimiz bir yılı geride bırakıyoruz. Önümüzdeki yıl ise; bu daralmanın etkisini daha da fazlasıyla hissedeceğimiz bir yıl olacak gibi görünüyor.

Ekonomide daralma, resesyon 2023 yılının ilk çeyreğinden sonra kendisini göstermeye başladı. Etkisini de giderek arttıran daralmanın sonucunda gıda haricinde tüm sektörlerde daralma yaşandı. Doğal taş sektörü de tüm dünya genelinde pazarın daraldığı bir yılı geride bıraktı. Türkiye Doğal taş sektörü için en önemli pazarlarda bu daralma rakamlarda da ortaya çıktı. Özellikle Amerika, Çin, Fransa gibi ülkelerin doğal taş alımlarındaki eksilme, Türkiye'nin doğal taş ihracatındaki gerilemenin temelini oluşturdu. Bu azalışın etkisini azaltmak için diğer ülkelerdeki pazarları hedef alan f irmalar proje bazlı çalışmalar yaparak yeni Pazar arayışlarına girdi.

Peki 2024'te doğal taş sektörünü ne bekliyor?

Bu soru ekonomistler tarafından şöyle yanıtlanıyor; “2023'e göre daha zor bir yıl ile karşılaşacağımız bir yıl olacak”

Bu durumda sektörün önümüzdeki yıl için beklentisi ve hedef i ‘ayakta kalmak' olmalı! Zira ekonomideki küresel iyileşmenin 2025'in ilk çeyreğine kadar süreceği ifade ediliyor. Öyleyse büyük küçük demeden her pazarı hedef olarak ele alıp çalışmamız şart!

Biz yine de yeni yıla girerken temenni olarak herkese iyi bir yıl dileğiyle birlikte pazarın da tekrar canlanmasını dileyelim…

We are leaving behind a year in which we deeply felt the impact of the worldwide economic contraction. The coming year seems to be a year in which we will feel the impact of this contraction even more.

The economic contraction and recession started to show itself after the f irst quarter of 2023. As a result of the contraction, which is gradually increasing its impact, all sectors except food have contracted. The natural stone sector also left behind a year in which the market contracted all over the world.

This contraction in the most important markets for Turkey's natural stone sector was also reflected in the f igures. The decline in natural stone purchases, especially in countries such as America, China and France, formed the basis of the decline in Turkey's natural stone exports. In order to reduce the impact of this decrease, companies targeting markets in other countries started to search for new markets by conducting project-based studies.

So what awaits the natural stone sector in 2024?

This question is answered by economists as follows; “It will be a year in which we will face a more difficult year compared to 2023”

In this case, the sector's expectation and target for the coming year should be to ‘survive'! Because it is stated that the global recovery in the economy will last until the f irst quarter of 2025. Therefore, we need to work on every market as a target, no matter how big or small!

Nevertheless, as we enter the new year, let's wish everyone a good year and hope that the market will revive again...
