CRUX 5 AXIS CNC BRIDGE SAW
OZKKM CRUX is monoblock bridge saw machine that, thanks to the advanced functionality, allows every stone fabrication shop to be equipped with accurate and quick machines, without giving up quality. The standard versions of CRUX is monoblock, i.e. mounted on a monolithic structure of steel carpentry that assures utmost rigidity and stability levels, with no need of any concrete foundation. For this reason, if necessary, they can be easily moved elsewhere. The monoblock configuration can be exploited also for using these machines as “building“equipment, i.e. it can be placed time by time near the factory where the coating, flooring, etc. are being done.
OZKKM CRUX is the result of the most advanced designing on computer and the massive use of FEM” analysis in order to reach a very high rigidity level of the bridge and structures. Even though it is a sawing machines, both have technical solutions of a CNC machine. All the movements of the axes are on linear bearings which do not need to be adjusted.
All the lubrication points have been gathered in areas which can easily be seen and reached, without disassembling guards or protections for facilitating ordinary maintenance. High level components are employed. The motors used are servo motors with precision reducers. Especially the high speed of the X axis allows to cut down idle times as much as possible with a productivity increase (the percentage of the time that the disc stays on the material is higher with respect to the time for placing or returning to cut start).
The spindle, anchored in front of the beam to offer the utmost rigidity, can accommodate disks up to a diameter of 625 mm and ½” Gas thread tools. It also warrants the choice of placing the cutting disc in axis with the head rota-tion center to reduce the efforts on the axis to zero for an excellent cutting quality. The inclination of the disc can be arranged automatically from 0° to 90° and the possibility to interpolate the X and Y axes make the machine suitable for repetitive processing and single details even with vertical, inclined, parallel, orthogonal, diagonal and curved cuts. The machines, in the standard version are equipped with a fixed table and can be tilted up to 80 oC by a hydraulic piston to facilitate the loading and unloading of the processed pieces.
With 16 kW and max. 6000 rpm, spindle unit works smoothly and precisely. As a result of, saw cutting and milling applica-tions can be performed with one motor fitted with a inter-cooling ½” Gas thread, flawlessly.
Spindle motor can take on the surface processing and engraving easily. 5 axis interpolation system can rotate 0-90° (A-axis) and 0-370° (C-axis). All axes are driven by servo motors.
The machines in the standard version are equipped with a working table, i.e., a hydraulic workbench, and also can be equipped with a tilting table (optional) as a separate unit to facilitate the loading and unloading of the processed pieces. Fixed table can be tilted up to 80°.
When the workpiece is placed on the table, with a high quality camera attached to the machine, photographs of the slab can be taken and transmitted to the Photo Digitizer software. The software analyses the image and detect any nonconformity (cracks, deformations etc.) that might be present on the slab. According to this surface data along with the workpiece’s size and thickness, software generates the most optimized layout for the CAD application to process the workpiece. The photograph could be fixed, corrected or manipulated by utilizing the Photo Digitizer module of the CNC Software.
Every operation can easily be carried out with a practical, optimally de-signed 19” display unit with color touchscreen and Windows operating system. The pushbutton station is fitted with USB port and houses the handheld rotary encoder (hand-wheel).
Saw bridge mode
Through a user-friendly interface, any saw cutting pro-cess like slab sizing, arcs, circles, leveling, profiling etc. can be selected via this module. Predefined macros can also be reached to allow the user to start and edit the processes of their choosing.
Aluminum suction (vacuum lifting) cups system grants lifting and positioning of the pieces to be cut. Just one arm has the capacity of lifting and transferring of pieces that weigh up to 350 kilograms. Equipped with two arms, that capacity rises up to a respectable value of over 700 kilograms. Additionally, smaller strip lines 40 mm in width can also be moved.
Profiling
The software grants the user to create files to perform concave or rectilinear shapes and convex arc by utilizing vertical and horizontal saw. Predefined library of profiles can also be selected, modified and saved as a new profile.
Drawing and design
This module allows the user to define the shapes to be machined via 2D CAD tools, by importing DXF/ DWG files, by acquiring an image from a photograph using the photo-digitizer module and by importing a list from Excel/CSV files. Macros of, for instance, countertops, are available to realize intended objects out of a slab. The software provides the user with modelling and machining solutions to acquire desired objects.
Simulation
With 3D simulation feature, possible errors and any collisions that can occur between the tools and workpieces can be foreseen before machining takes place.
Nesting / slab image capture
The application grants the user the ability to acquire and process the slab photo through correcting and optimizing the lens distortion.
Through the acquired image, it is possible to arrange the shapes on the slab while avoiding material imperfections and identifying the nervures to be machined. Qualifying the slab edge geometrically is also available.
The shapes can be arranged on the slab with nesting. The shapes to be nested are loaded from the active itemized list. After positioning, the user is able to modify the cuts, add pauses or disable it. These and other modifications can be performed before pressing the start button.
3D CAD/CAM
This module allows importing the universal CAD data formats such as DXF, DWG, IGES, STEP, 3DS, OBJ, STL and Rhino3D and is compatible with any CAD/CAM program preferred in the sector.
The module conducts 2D and 3D roughing and
finishing operations with utilizing disk and tools.
3+2 axes fixed frame and 4-5 axes interpolated machinings can be performed. In addition, an integrated post-processor module converts applied toolpaths created in the CAM system into a language specific to the CNC machines.
